An reported the arrival on 10 June in Leith Roads of the Royal Bounty of Lieth master Newton retruning from the Davis’s Straits whale fishery fully loaded wuth around 315 butts blubber and about 3 tons whale fins of the 7 whales she caught. She left the Raith of Leith master Lyons on 11 May of the fishing grounds with 6 whales parting that day in a thick fog after stayimng together during the whole voyage. On the passage out the Royal Bounty lost one crewmember who fell fom the fore top and was killed on the fore-castle.
