Part of the Kirov-class Project 19 consisting of the Kirov and Dzherzhinskij patrol vessels. Jane’s Fighting Ships edition 1958-1959 called her a frigate annex coast guard vessel. Laid down by Ansaldo, Sestri Ponente, Italy on 8 February 1933, launched on 16 September 1934, completed on 27 October 1934, commissioned on 9 August 1945, discarded on 11 June 1957, became a stationary staffship at the Shikotan in 1960 and lost when stranded in a gale in 1961.
