Allied (Entente) troop transports bound for Egypt according to the Kriegsnachrichten of the Chef des Admiralstabes der Marine dated Berlin 16 August 1917

An item referred to an agent message dated 3 August reporting that a fully loaded troop transport had left Korfu transporting British troops from Macedonia towards Egypt. This transport was to be followed by others. Other agents reported also troop transports returning from Saloniki. Their replacement by Greek troops was just slowly realized. Still the transports could not be confirmed.
