Belgian motor ship Rene-Paul forced by bad weather to return to Lisbon, Portugal in November 1940

In his letter dated Lisbon dated 3 November 1940 No. 890 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspaper Diario de Manha, Diero de Noticias, Lisbon dated 1 November the Belgian motor ship Rene-Paul which stayed for some weeks in the harbour and brought a cargo cork to Gibraltar returned again. Underway from Gibraltar towards England entered the convoy such worse weather that it fell apart and the Rene-Paul returned to Lisbon waiting for a new opportunity to go to England.
