German seaplane station at Xanti, Bulgaria attacked by Entente aircraft according to the Kriegsnachrichten of the Chef des Admiralstabes der Marine dated Berlin 9 August 1917

An item reported that on 6 and 7 August the German base at Xanthi was bombed by enemy [Entente] planes although with no success.(1)

1. The German seaplane station (Seeflugstation) at Xanthi [Bulgaria, nowadays Greece] was located near the Aegen Sean operated by the Imperial Navy, especially active in the region of Porto Lagos
