An item reported the loss on 16 November of the British cargo ship Planter, tonnage 5,887 tons, loaded with general stores. Torpedoed and sunk by a submarine on the position 30 miles north of the Bloody Foreland(1). Of the crew were 50 men saved. Not part of a convoy.
