Part of K- or Acasta-class preceded by Acheron-class succeeded by L- or Laforey-class. The class numbered 20 ships, of 12 which built while using the common Admiralty-design and 8 so-called builders’specials. The Acasta-class was in September 1913 redesignated K-class. Built under the Naval Programme of 1911-1912. Admiralty K-class design. Original intended name Kite. Laid down by Hawthorn Leslie&Co., Newcastle, England on 16 October 1911, launched on 29 August 1912, completed in November 192 and sold to be broken up on 9 May 1921.
