Part of K- or Acasta-class preceded by Acheron-class succeeded by L- or Laforey-class. The class numbered 20 ships, of 12 which built while using the common Admiralty-design and 8 so-called builders’specials. The Acasta-class was in September 1913 redesignated K-class. Built under the Naval Programme of 1911-1912. Admiralty K-class design. Original intended name Knight. Laid down by John Brown&Company, Clydebank, Scotland with yard number 413 on 15 January 1912, launched on 14 November 1912, completed on in March 1913 and sold to be scrapped on 9 May 1921.
