British merchant ship Dallas City sunk by enemy aircraft according to the War Cabinet Weekly Résumé No. 45of the Naval, Military and Air Situation 4-12 July 1940

An item reported that on 4 July the British merchant ship Dallas City, tonnage 4,952 tons, loaded with ... , underway from ... to ... was sunk by a bomb dropped by an aircraft 30 miles south south east of Portland. Of her crew 36 men survived the sinking. Part of convoy OA178.
