Ordered on 19 September 1927, laid down by Hawthorn Leslie and Company, Newcastle upon Tyne, England on 6 February 1928, launched on 14 September 1928, commissioned on 14 March 1929. out of service in July 1945 and sold to be broken up on 22 May 1947.
