Dutch whaler Geertruy en Susanna sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1759

Auction at the Nieuwezyds Heeren Loogement, Amsterdam, Netherlands on Monday 1 October 1759 at 18:00 o’clock of the Dutch whaler Geertruy en Susanna, extra ordinary well sailing fluyt, commandeur Dirk Willemsz, built in 1745, dimensions 112172 z 20 x 12.6, verdeck 6.7and stuurplecht 8.10 Amsterdam feet, lying in the Laag between the 2 Waals Boomen at the Oude Stads Herberg. Sold for 12.650 Dutch guilders to Volkert de Vries for his master.(1)

1. Greenland commandeur for Anne Jacobsz and Volkert de Vries, Amsterdam, Netherlands between 1757-1761, total catch results 7 1/2 whale-239 barrels blubber-325 quardelen whale oil and in 1759 from them towards Davis Strait with as results zero.
