Greek merchant ships with reduced crews lying at Lisbon, Portgal in October 1940

In his letter dated Lisbon dated 3 November 1940 No. 890 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine wrote the German Marineattaché Portugal that according to the newspapers Seculo and Diario de Lisboa, Lisbon dated 28-30 October at Lisbon were lying except for the recently arrived Greek passenger ship Nea Hellas the Greek merchant ships Aighai, Kadio, Kapetan Stratis and Salaminia all with reduced crews. At Funchal, Madeira were 14 Greek cargo steamships lying.
