Part of Re Umberto-class consisting of Re Umberto, Sardegna and Sicilia, preceded by Ruggiero di Lauria-class succeeded by Ammiraglio di Saint Bon-class. Laid down by Arsenale di La Spazia, Italy on 24 October 1884, launched on 20 September 1890, completed on 16 February 1895, guard ship after 1917, stricken on 4 January 1923 and broken up.
