Russian minelayer Ayan 1937-

Part of Ayan-class. Served between 1937-1939 in the Far East Shipping Company, during the Second World War was this transport converted into a minelayer and part of the Pacific Fleet. Part of the Pioner- class coastal diesel cargo schooners built by Odessa Works. Ayan,Serp, Molot and Gizhaga were all used as coastal minesweepers. Length 242.8 feet.
