An item reported the sighting on 31 July heading to the east of 1 British cable steamship, 2 armed British steamships, 1 Dutch steamship, 16 ships, 1 armed steam transport, 1 armed Portuguese steamship and 3 Italian steamships each armed with 2 guns  from Gibraltar.
