Soviet destroyers under construction by the Northern Shipyard in August 1936 according to report No. 9711 dated 19 February 1937

An item referred to the report dealing with the training exercises of the Soviet Baltic Fleet in August 1936. It supplemented the reports 9697-7040 and 9699-7040. An unverified source reported the building at the Northern Shipyard of 4 vessels similar to destroyers. The ships were already launched and berthed side by side at the pier of the yard. Two were painted grey, the other two just grounded. Masts and other superstructures on the decks were still missing. The same source reported the presence of a similar vessel in the harbor of Kronstadt although in a most advanced construction state. In the stern was a gun shield fitted although she was lacking all armament. In the bow was her name visible, starting with a “M”.
