American sailing sealing ship Rebecca Groves in 1839-1840

Antarctic sealing ground. Rigging brig. Tonnage 129 tons. Captain Barnum, sailed from Stonington for the Indian Ocean on 15 July 1839 and arrived at home on 7 June 1840 with 650 barrels sea-elephant oil.
