Part of K- or Acasta-class preceded by Acheron-class succeeded by L- or Laforey-class. The class numbered 20 ships, of 12 which built while using the common Admiralty-design and 8 so-called builders’specials. The Acasta-class was in September 1913 redesignated K-class. Built under the Naval Programme of 1911-1912. Admiralty K-class design. Original intended name Killer. Laid down by Harland&Wolff, Govan, Scotland on 1 April 1913, launched on 7 May 1913, completed in April 1914 and sold to be broken up on 5 November 1921.
