British merchant ship Guido sunk by German submarine U-633 according to the War Cabinet Weekly Résumé No. 45 of the Naval, Military and Air Situation 4-12 July 1940

An item reported that after 28 June the British merchant ship Guido, tonnage 3.931 tons, loaded with ..., underway from Plymouth to ... was ... Part of convoy not. Reported from the USA to have been sunk by a submarine. Later became clear that she survived the encounter with an enemy submarine. However she was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-633 on 8 March 1943.
