British sloop HMS Foxglove damaged in air attack according to the War Cabinet Weekly Résumé No. 45 of the Naval, Military and Air Situation 4-12 July 1940

An item reported that the British sloop HMS Foxglove (1) was bombed and heavy damaged off Portsmouth, England on 9 July. One officer was killed and 35 ratings wounded.

1. Part of Acacia-class minesweeping sloops succeeded by Azalea-class. Launched by Barclay Curle, Glasgow, Scotland on 30 March 1915, delivered on 14 May 1915, commissioned in 1915 and sold to be broken up on 7 September 1946.
