Laid down by Cantieri del Tirreno (CNT), Riva Trigoso, Italy on 21 January 1925, launched on 27 January 1927, completed on 24 October 1927 and sunk in an attack by Swordfish torpedo bombers of the British aircraft carrier HMS Eagle on the harbour of Tobruk, Libya on 20 July 1940.
