Laid down as War Prune for the Shipping Controller, launched by Forth Shipbuilding&Eng. Co. Ltd., Alloa (Kelliebank), Alloa, Scotland with yard number 48 in May 1919, completed in October 1919 for Sun Shipping Co. Ltd., Mitchell Cotts&Co. Ltd., London, England as Sunpath, sold yo Shirasaka Kisen K.K., K. Sakama, Fuchu, Japan and sunk by American navy aircraft off the west coast of Okinawa on 10 October 1944. Gross tonnage 2,478 tons, under deck 2,239 tons, net tonnage 1,432 tons, deadweight 4,150 tons and as dimensions 303.3 x 42.7 x 20.8 x 23.0 x 8 1/2 (light)-19’7 1/4 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, one screw, horsepower 217 nhp, coal bunker capacity 450 ton, range 540 nautical miles/10 knots and speed 10 (normal cruising)-11.5 (maximum) knots.
