Also spelled as Tchou-Kuan. Part of Chu-class consting of the Chu Tung, Chu Chien, Chu Tai, Chu Yu, Chu Yiu and Chu Kuan succeeded by Yongfeng-class gunboats. Ordered from Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation, Kobe, Japan in 1904, launched on 14 August 1907 , commissioned late 1907 and stricken in the 1960s.
