Part of Holland-class, preceded by Gerard Callenburg-class, succeeded by Kortenaer anti submarine frigate, ordered on 2 January 1948, laid down by Wilton-Fijneoord, Schiedam, Netherlands on 10 March 1951, launched on 19 September 1953, commissioned on 17 August 1955, decommissioned in 1973, instruction vessel for Technical Training Royal Navy (TOKM) school at Amsterdam, Netherlands, sold to be broken up in 1988 and broken up at Zaandam, Netherlands in 1993.
