Italian protected cruiser Umbria 1889-1910 and Haitian Consul Gostrück 1910-1913

Part of Regioni-class preceded by Piemonte succeeded by Calabria. Laid down by Cantiere navale fratelli Orlando, Livorno, Italy on 1 August 1888, launched on 23 April 1891, decommissioned in 1910, rumors of a sale to Ecuador forced Peru to buy the aged French cruiser Dupuy de Lôme, sold to Haiti in December 1910, arived on 13 June 1911 at Haiti but sunk due an unexperienced crew, salvaged and towed to Rotterdam, Netherlands where she was broken up in 1913. The Dutch newspaper  Algemeen Handelsblad dated 24 January 1913 reported the departure from Haiti by the Dutch tug Zwarte Zee towing the Umbria. De De Amstelbode dated 5 February reported the arrival on 4 February on the Nieuwe Waterweg. According to the Scheepvaart edition 4 February was she to be broken up at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, the next day was instead reported Slikkerveer.
