An item reported that the in the night of 18 February two merchant ships in the harbor of Trinidad were torpedoed although both ships keep floating. The J.I.C. commented that if a submarine was responsible for the attack, she had been very bold while the depth of water in the harbor and immediate approaches was such low that she was forced to be surfaced.
