American whaler Nile spoken according to the Australian newspaper The Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser dated Tuesday 15 March 1836

An item reported that the American whaler Nile when at Whangaroa lately had 800 barrels being 6 months out from New Bedford. She caught most of her cargo on her passage between St. Paul’s and Amsterdam.
