She belonged to the Project26bis Kirov-class. Laid down at the Ordzhonikidze yard as Leningrad 20 December 1936 with yard number 270, launched 30 April 1938 and Commissioned 12 December 1940. In Summer 1953 was a modernization started which all ready ended two years later because the probably profit was to small compared with the costs. She was decommisioned 17 February 1956 and sold to be broken up 18 April 1959.
Displacement 8.177 tons or 8.048 long tons standard and 9.278 tons or 9.574 long tons full load with as dimensions 187 (waterline)-191,4 (over all) x 17,66 x 6,3m. The TB-7 geared steam turbines and 8 Yarrow-Normand oil-fired boilers supplied 129.750 shp allowing a speed of maximum 36,72 knots (design speed was 37 knots). Fuel oil capacity was 650 metric tons normally, 1.600 metric tons at full load or 1.750 metric tons by overload. With a speed of 18 knots was the range 4.220 nautical miles. Her crew numbered 963 men. The armament consisted of 3x3-7.1"guns, 6x1-3.9"guns, 9x-45mm anti aircraft guns, 4x1-12.7mm anti aircraft guns, 2x3 533mm torpedo tubes, between 96-150 mines, 50 depth charges and 2 KOR-1 seaplanes, launched with one ZK-1 catapult. The armour consisted of a 70mm water line belt, a 50mm deck, 70mm gun turrets and barbette and a 150mm conning tower.
