As an reaction to protests of the Envoy Board against the delivery of steam boilers to Argentina by Krupp was made clear that these boilers were not destined for new torpedo boats but for the torpedo boats built by the firm Krupp for Argentina for the First World War. Another Dutch newspaper the Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad morning edition dated 27 January 1925 published a news item dated London 26 January. The Envoy Board requested the German government that Krupp withdrew her tender while it conflicted with the Treaty of Versailles.
