The Curacaosche Scheepvaart Maatschappij and her tankers according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated Saturday 13 November 1926

A news item reported that on Monday the new tanker Mathilde from the Netherlands at Willemstad arrived. At the end of November of begin December were two more new tankers expected namely the Frasca and the Lucita. The fleet of the Isla (1) would than number 20 tankers in regular service towards Maracaibo. As a result of these new 2,300 tons tankers and due to the fact that the docking with the onn Wilhelmina dry dock in the Schottegat was much easier and faster became it possible to increase the oil import from Maracaibo considerably. Until now was it possible in 4 days to go to Maracaibo and return back to Curacao but the intention was to do that in January in 3 days mainly by decreasing the stops at Maracaibo and Curacao.
