Dutch whaler De Jonge Jan for sale at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamsche courant dated 15 October 1791

An announcement reported that the brokers J. de Flines, J.N. Apostool and D.W. van Vloten intended to sell on Monday 17 October in the Nieuwe Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the extra ordinary well sailing fluytship De Jonge Jan, commandeur Hans Hansen, newly fitted out in 1739 dimensions 115½ (prow) x 29’6” (first balk before the main hatch within the hull) x 12’6½” (at the first before the main hatch on the uitwatering) main hatch on board and height verdeck 6’8½”all Amsterdam feet and all the whale catchers tools of the commandeur.
