USA transferred warships and perhaps naval base at Bremen to West Germany according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 21 January 1957

An item reported that the USA intended to give in spring 1958 over their naval base at Bremerhaven back to the West German government. That day were seven smaller units handed over to the West German navy, which since June was increased with 42 ships.
