The German Reichstag allowed a day earlier the cabinet to built six new cruisers for service abroad as was requested in the fleet bill.(1)

1. Probably the Dresden and Kolberg-classes. Dresden-class consisted of the 10x1-10,5cm/4" crusiers SMS Dresden and Emden and the Kolberg-classs of the 12x1-10,5cm/4"cm cruisers Kolberg, Augsburg, Mainz and Coln.
