British crown decided to release Dutch merchant ships according to the Dutch magazine Maandelyksche Nederlandsche Mercurius dated September 1759

The British crown decided after several requests to release all Dutch Surinam ships which were seized and brought to England which in the meantime was effected and that a financial compensation for the costs was to be expected. Also the crown decided to publish an announcement ending these unacceptable activities of the privateers or pirates.
