British troop transport Euphrates arrived at Durban, South Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Het Zuiden dated 29 January 1881

An item reported that the British troop transport Euphrates arrived at Durban with 1,400 men on board.(1)

1. The soldiers were to serve in the First Anglo-Boer of 20 December 1880-23 March 1881 ending in allowing self-government in the Transvaal.
