Dutch warships part of the Palembang expedition according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 9 November 1821

The Dutch navy was during the 19th and 20th centuries several times involved in expeditions to end the revolts against the Dutch government. On 20 and 24 June were despite a strong resistance the batteries and defence works of the Sultan of Palembang at Gombora and Moara Pladjoe by Dutch troops captured. The Royal Netherlands Navy and the Dutch colonial navy played an important roll in this expedition and lost several men. The news item published losses of both days.
