An item reported that the Brazilian transport Etoipa arrived at Bahia and apparently choose the sided of the rebels and now blockaded the harbour.(1)

1. Between 1893 and 1894 mutinied parts of the Brazilian navy against the Brazilian president. These mutinies are known as the Brazilian Naval Revolts or Revoltas da Armada with as main leaders the admirals Custodio de Mello and Saldanha Gama causing large losses of men and ships.
