British transport Denton Grange in problems according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Thursday 14 December 1899

An item reported that the transport Denton Grange stranded Monday evening in the harbour of Las Palmas, Canary Islands and now was leaking. The warship Furious was assisting her. The newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 14 December reported that she was transporting war stores and remount. The newspaper De Zeeuw dated 14 December reported that the accident happened when she was entering the harbour.
