Portuguese merchant ships in principle not sold to foreigners according to the Dutch newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 3 March 1941

An item reported that the Portuguese cabinet ordered that it was not allowed to sell Portuguese ships to foreigners without explicit permission of the naval authorities.
