An item reported that according to British tidings on 2 June a transport was lost in the Mediterranean costing the lives of 50-60 men. The Vlissingse Courant of the same date confirmed this item although adding that it was the British transport Cameronian with just a small number of troops on board and that 52 soldiers and 11 crewmembers including the master were missing. De Zeeuw dated the 20th reported that she measured 5,681 tons and belonged to Leyland and Co., Liverpool and she was torpedoed in the eastern part of the Mediterranean.
