German icebreaker Donar built at Vegesack according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated Thursday 28 July 1892

An item reported that on the Monday before at Vegesack the icebreaker Donar was launched for account of Bremen for breaking the ice between Bremerhaven and Brake. Her dimensions were 43 x 10,5 (maximum) metres and a engine supplying 700 hp. Fitted out with nine watertight bulkheads and two object lights each with a strength of 5,000 candles.
