Japan converting passenger ships into freighters according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 13 October 1940

An item reported that as a result of the desperate need of Japan for freighters decided was to convert the passenger ships at hat moment being build into freighters. Also consisting passenger ships wit a maximum gross register tonnage of 100,000 tons were to be converted.
