Greek merchant ships sold to Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 5 October 1940

An item reported that the Greek freighters Mount Kyllini of 3.703 gross register tons), Mount Taygetos of 3.286 gross register tons, Point Untith (4.810 gross register tons) and Argolikos (1) of 4.786 gross register tons were sold to Japan. For the first two ships was 40 US dollars for each ton paid and for the two latter ships each 400.000 US dollars. The Greek government approved the sale.
