Dutch torpedo boat XII used for stealth experiments according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 3 April 1898

An item reported that at the establishment Hellevoetsluis experiments were going on with the torpedo boat XII which was now painted light seagreen. It was believed that these colours made her less visible both day and night.
