Canadian bulk carrier (ex-Silver Isle 1962-1994) Algoisle 1994-2009

Launched on 23 November 1962 at the Verolme Cork Dockyards Limited, Cork, Ireland for Mohawk Navigation Company at Montral with yard number 662, baptized on 8 May 1963 as the Silver Isle. Between 1970-1980 managed/freighted by Scott Misener Steamships Limited, early 1980 owned by Pioneer Shipping Limited, managed by Misener Transportation Limited., St. Catharines, Ohio. With a horsepower of 9.000 bhp. Since 1 June 1994 owned by Algoma Ventral Marine and renamed as Algoisle. Between end 2000 and 2004 laid up. Decommissioned on 30 December 2009.
