British merchant ships armed against German submarines according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 3 September 1915

An item referred to the newspaper Bataviaasch Nieuwsblad reporting that British merchant ships bound for England, Colombo, Ceylon and Port Saïd, Egypt were to fitted out with guns and gunners as defence against German submarines.
