Russian empire seizing German and Austrian merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 3 October 1914

An item dated Petrograd 2 October reported that since the outbreak of the war the Russian empire seized 73 German and 13 Austrian merchant ships.(1)

1. The First World War 28 July 1914-11 November 1918 although the Russian empire collapsed in 1917 and quitted after the so-called October Revolution (25 October old style/ 9-8 November new style) the war.
