German-built Turkish MTB’s commissioned according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1930 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine M.R. dated September 1938 reporting that the 8 MTB’s built at German shipyards for Turkish accounts were commissioned in last May. They were called Oryen (No. 1), Velebit (No. 2), Dinara (No. 3), Triglav (No. 4), Suvobor (No. 5), Rudnik (No. 6), Kaymakhalan (No. 7) and Dovrmitor (No. 8). The displacement was 60 ton, wood-built and fitted out with gasoline motors totally supplying 3.000 hp allowing a maximum speed of 38 knots. The armament consisted of 2 torpedo tubes and a machine gun.
