An item referred to the magazine M.R. dated September 1938 reporting that at Guldjuk the 500 ton minelayer Atak was launched. Immediately afterwards was the keel laid down of her sister ship Dolgitsch. The item reported that the Atak was the first in Turkey built warship. The 6.000 tons measuring yacht Savarona was bought for personal use by president Ataturk.
