An item referred to the magazine Naval &Military Record dated 23 July reporting that the same month at Cherbourg the submarine Requin was launched. With a displacement of 1.150 (surfaced)-1.450 (submerged) tons were her dimensions 78 x 7 metres and with a minimum surfaced speed of at16 miles.
